Description

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Mason Gross School of the Arts with collaborations between the Music and Dance departments. The program includes choreography by Phil Chan with Music faculty Min Kwon on piano; choreography by Kimani Fowlin with music by Okai Fleurimont; choreography by John Evans with music by Jack Frerer; new choreography by Pam Tanowitz; and a presentation of Martha Graham’s Steps in the Street to honor the 100th anniversary of the Martha Graham Dance Company. All works are performed by students in the dance program.

Dance and Music Alumni: Join us after the performance for an alumni gathering!

7 p.m. | Pre-Show Performances featuring Tiny Dances by Dance Department Alumni, a sound installation from Okai Fleurimont, and a display celebrating Graham's 100th year.

7:30 p.m. | DancePlus Performance featuring new choreography by John Evans, Pam Tanowitz, Kimani Fowlin, and Phil Chan, in addition to a performance of Martha Graham's Steps in the Street in honor of the company's 100th anniversary

9 p.m. | Alumni Gala Reception celebrating our Alumni! Learn about what the Dance and Music Departments are up to. Light refreshments will be served; cash bar available.
